BACK AT IT! The semester has started up and it has started to hit me that, after 10 years of being in “college” (counting undergrad, masters and PhD), this is (hopefully) my last semester as a student. Crazy.
I spent Saturday tying at Cabin Fever days at Fly Masters up in Indy with Dave from Pile Cast and a couple of the guys from Warmwater Chronicles. I tied up some big, articulated meat, and lot of the customers were interested, which was really fun! I think that tying streamers may be my favorite thing. Ever.
This week’s Tying Tuesday is an awesome example of something that I have been pondering for a while. A mouse fly with a glow stick in it. There a bunch of dudes up in Michigan that skate these bad boys at night for big browns. I love the idea of being able to track the fly across the wake until it gets smacked. Gotta try it now!
